I'm Sarah, nickname Dave. I'm 20, sorta studying film and art, hoping to go into animation storyboarding. Hi! If you follow me and ever decide to unfollow me at any point, don't worry, I don't care about my follower count. I only care if I said or did something that seriously offended you.

A couple people asked me how I vary my leaves and trees and honestly, it’s super easy! I’ve never made a tutorial/guide before so I kept this mega simple but I hope someone out there might find it useful at least!
Also, anyone can download the brushes I use for all my art on my tumblr page (: I only use around 5 so go nuts hah
Tim Knowles - Tree Drawings (2006)
Artist’s statement:
“A series of drawings produced using drawing implements attached to the tips of tree branches, the wind’s effects on the tree, recorded on paper.
Like signatures each drawing reveals the different qualities and characteristics of each tree.”
This is so fucking amazing.

In a tiny corner of western Poland a forest of about 400 pine trees grow with a 90 degree bend at the base of their trunks - all bent northward. Surrounded by a larger forest of straight growing pine trees this collection of curved trees, or “Crooked Forest,” is a mystery.
Someone film a sci fi movie here now.
its like they were all trying to get away from something at some point in their tree lives

Australian artist Konstantin Dimopoulos paints urban trees blue (with environmentally safe paint) to raise awareness of global deforestation. Melbourne, Richmond, Vancouver and Virginia have all hosted his Blue Trees project and next week it’s going to be in Seattle. More info on 4Culture and Treehugger.
